In this class we will be incorporating gentle and calming breathing practices, whilst in the Yin poses, inviting the body into a deeper meditative space. Restoring the natural flow of ‘prana’ (life force energy) guiding the body back to its natural state of being.

Yin yoga is suitable for all levels and works deeply into the connective tissues (such as the ligaments and tendons) and major joints of the body through extended holds of the poses. Usually between 3 – 5 mins in each pose. Through these extended holds the body has more time to release tension and stress, restoring the Nervous System

Yin is all about slowing down and moving into stillness with each pose, helping to quieten down the business of the mind. If you are someone who struggles with meditation, then Yin is perfect for you. You will leave the class feeling a sense of calmness and happiness. Often, people can feel tired after their first class, and this is just a response that the body needs more rest and downtime. With regular practice of Yin, you will start to feel more energised throughout your day.

During the class, you will have the option of using props for extra support, so you will be able to feel comfortable and at ease, allowing the body to go deep into each pose.

By the end of the class, you will feel a deep sense of relaxation, bliss and calmness.
